Head of tattoo artist was removed in murder, remains missing

Head of tattoo artist was removed in murder, remains missingNew Delhi: When a corpse without a head was discovered near a railway track in East Delhi, the police described it as a case of suicide. 24 hours later, a murder case has been registered against unknown persons, the corpse has been identified thanks to a tattoo, but the severed head remains missing.

Paras Bhasin, a 22-year-old, inked his wife's name on his arm after what his family describes as a secret wedding. That tattoo helped the police identify him, hours after he was found dead.

Paras' family alleges that he was being threatened by his young wife's father, who was against the relationship.

"Paras secretly married a girl, who belongs to a rich family and currently stays in Ghaziabad. The girl's father used to threaten Paras to end the relationship. He also used to call my father to warn Paras," said Uday Bhasin, the victim's brother.

"Despite the threats, they married but the girl is living with her family and Paras was living with us as he wanted to disclose their relationship after completing his studies and starting a business," he added.

Paras' father, Sanjeev Bhasin, said, "My son left home at around 3:30 pm on Saturday and around 4:15 pm, we received a call about his death from an unknown number." The family says that the anonymous phone call established that this was a case of murder.
